Scottish Sun Newsman Claims he was Threatened by Sheridan

The Scottish Sun has claimed that former Scottish Solidarity MSP, Tommy Sheridan, threatened its reporter, Nick Sharpe, while he attempted to get a doorstep interview at the politician’s home.

In a news story on Saturday, Sharpe reported: “Raging Tommy Sheridan threatened to ‘knock my f****** head off’ as I tried to quiz him about his wife’s theft rap”.

The claim came as the red-top splashed on allegations that Sheridan’s air stewardess wife, Gail, has been charged with stealing from British Airways.

Mrs Sheridan was charged with theft at the same time as she was charged with perjury while giving evidence at her husband’s successful libel action against the Sun’s sister title, the Scottish News of the World, two years ago.
