PPA Scotland celebrating tenth birthday

MANY of Scotland’s best-known magazine publishers and editors are gathering today in Glasgow to celebrate the tenth birthday of their representative body, the Scottish branch of the Periodicals Publishers Association.

Over 100 guests – from throughout the UK and including printers and advertising agencies – are expected to be attending the event. And guest speakers at the Radisson Hotel will be John Sanderson, head of sustainable development at paper makers, UPM-Kymmene, and Alison Bradley, managing editor of Fusion Flowers magazine.

UPM-Kymmene employs around 26,000 people.

Meanwhile, Fusion Flowers picked up the award for Best Magazine (Small Publishing Company) at the 2005 and 2006 Scottish Magazine Awards.
