Jamieson opts for freelancing

THE consumer affairs correspondent of The Scotsman is leaving to freelance, mainly for the Sunday Telegraph.

Alastair Jamieson is also an assistant news editor at the paper, and he leaves today exactly eight years after first arriving.

He will be doing casual reporting shifts at the Sunday Telegraph, and possibly some other freelance work, if time permits.

He told allmediascotland.com: “I will be very sad to leave Edinburgh, not least because I will miss the extreme professionalism and talent with which The Scotsman is produced despite the increasingly challenging circumstances in the newspaper industry.”
