Lyons wins wine writers’ prize

THE wine correspondent of Scotland on Sunday newspaper has one of the most prestigious prizes competed for by wine writers.

Will Lyons – who also writes for The Reader’s Digest, The Spectator Business and The Law Society Gazette – has been named Louis Roederer UK Regional Wine Writer of the Year.

It was third time lucky for Lyons who began writing his column for Scotland on Sunday three years ago.

Two years ago, he was shortlisted for the Glenfiddich Wine Writer of the Year, and, last year, among the nominees for the Louis Roederer.
