ITV book author appearing in Glasgow this evening

THE author of a book on one of the world’s most interesting television organisations is speaking in Glasgow this evening.

Ray Fitzwalter’s ‘The Dream That Died: The Rise and Fall of ITV’ is considered one of the most controversial book on the British media published this year.

It is written via the perspective of Granada TV and Fitzwalter – an editor for 11 years on ITV’s flagship investigative programme, World in Action – is a guest of the Scottish branch of the Royal Television Society.

Says RTS Scotland: “Fitzwalter’s experience as an ITV insider is unrivalled, and his meticulously-researched book casts an unique light on the development of commercial broadcasting in the UK.”
