Fry Begins Work at Scotsman Publishers

The new chief executive of Scotsman publishers, Johnston Press, has already begun his new job – in order to allow his predecessor to smooth the transition.

John Fry took up the reins of the company yesterday, with Tim Bowdler – newly appointed non-executive chair of the Press Association – being retained to oversee a handover. The appointment of Fry, former boss of the Archant media group, had been announced in September, with the expectation being he would be taking over in May.
