Guardian sets out global ambitions in TV documentary

A WORLDWIDE market is within the sights of The Guardian newspaper, former newspaper editor, Janet Street-Porter, reports in a TV documentary about the future of newspapers.

In a special report for the BBC’s Money Programme, Street-Porter, a former editor of The Independent on Sunday, reports The Guardian’s attempt to triple its US readership as newspapers in general suffer a drop in circulation and advertising revenue.

She also visits an impressive new print plant being operated by Sun and Times publisher, News Corporation.
