Maxwell draws on journalism experiences in novel

THE journalism experiences of a columnist on the Scottish Sun are to feature in a novel being published next year.

‘Scandalous’ is to be the debut novel of Martel Maxwell, who has just started co-presenting a music show on BBC Radio Scotland and will be soon featuring on BBC Three.

The novel is being published by Michael Joseph, part of publishing giants, Penguin.

It is described as “a romantic comedy debut about two glamorous sisters, one an ambitious showbiz journalist, the other a shy fashion writer whose love life becomes a tabloid sensation”.

Says Martel: “It is all fictional, but I’ve drawn a lot from my experiences in journalism.”

She is already penning her second novel.
