The Muslim communities of both Edinburgh and Glasgow are to be served by temporary radio stations that will be broadcasting during the period of Ramadan and Eid – in total, 32 days.

Broadcasting regulator, Ofcom, has awarded a total of 29 temporary radio broadcast licences throughout the UK, which usually operate over a radius of two miles, for the religious observance.
