NUJ to Submit Legal Claim Against Herald Group

The publisher of the Herald group of newspapers could find itself around two million pounds out of pocket, for the way it handled a recent staff reorganisation.

It follows a claim being made today to an industrial tribunal by National Union of Journalists.

In December, the newspapers’ publisher, Newsquest, announced plans to reduce its workforce, by inviting all but a handful of its 250 staff to apply for 40 fewer posts.
