Regional Circulations: A Few More

A six-monthly review of regional newspaper circulations in Scotland has found across-the-board drops.

Says the Audit Bureau of Circulation, the year-on-year percentage sales performance of both daily and non-daily regionals are universally down, allmediascotland having reported here the scale of the falls among daily titles such as the Press & Journal, the Evening Times and the Paisley Daily Express.

Kilmarnock Standard Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 16,422. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 3.5 per cent.

Kirkintilloch Herald Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 10,829. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 5.3 per cent.

Lanark & Carluke Gazette Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 11,362. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 6.6 per cent.

Lennox Herald Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 10,611. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 9.7 per cent.

Linlithgowshire Journal & Gazette Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 8281. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 3.1 per cent.

Lothian and Peebles Times Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 41,965. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 12.7 per cent.

Mearns Leader and Kincardinshire Observer
Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 4998. Year-on-year performance: up 17.8 per cent.

Midlothian Advertiser Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 6687. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 4.8 per cent.

Milngavie & Bearsden Herald Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 5999. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 5.4 per cent.

North Lanarkshire Extra Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 22,272. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 8.6 per cent.

Northern Scot Mid Week Extra Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 12,967. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 46.2 per cent.

Orcadian Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 9532. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 3.3 per cent.

Orkney Today Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 5312. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 7.6 per cent.

Paisley and Renfrewshire Extra
Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 29,048. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 12 per cent.

Paisley People
Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 5750. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 30.2 per cent.

Peeblesshire News

Perthshire Advertiser (Tuesday edition) Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 7885. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 6.9 per cent.

Rutherglen Reformer Average net circulation for six months upto end of June this year: 3903. Year-on-year performance: a drop of 6.3 per cent.
