Scotsman.com in running for another award

AN awards ceremony to “celebrate and reward excellence in all aspects of digital publishing” has chosen the website of The Scotsman newspaper among its nominees for a title.

The Online Publishing Awards, now in their fifth year and run by the Association of Online Publishers (AOP), has chosen www.scotsman.com as a contender for its ‘Editorial team 2006 – consumer’ title.

The winner will be announced on the fourth of next month at an awards dinner taking place in London, following the annual AOP online publishing conference, this year themed, ‘Content Evolution’.

The Scotsman’s site is up against www.thisismoney.co.uk (Associated Northcliffe Digital), www.CNET.co.uk (CNET Networks UK), www.fhm.com (Emap Performance), www.commentisfree.guardian.co.uk (Guardian Unlimited), www.nme.com (IPC ignite!), www.nature.com/news (Nature Publishing Group) and www.Reuters.co.uk (Reuters Group).
