LAST week, Spike reported an advertising billboard at Edinburgh airport for local radio station, Forth One. The design – with the welcome to arriving passengers that they are now entering ‘Forth One Airspace’ – has been nominated in the marketing category of the upcoming National Business Awards for Scotland.
But Spike has since learned that the billboard comprises a montage where the heads of the DJs are attached to various photographs of just one or two bodies – ie without a spare tyre or two.
Apparently, it’s common practice in advertising. Said one insider: “If only I could transpose my head on to David Beckham’s body.”
The awards ceremony is taking place in Glasgow on the 14th of next month.
