Pastures new for Lydall and McNeil

A FORMER political editor at The Scotsman has been appointed chief news correspondent of the London Evening Standard.

Prior to joining The Scotsman in February last year, Ross Lydall was the Standard’s City Hall editor.

Meanwhile, former Scotsman diarist, Robert McNeil, has hooked up with his former boss; he’s writing for the Belfast Telegraph, now being edited by Mike Gilson, who was at The Scotsman’s helm for three years before leaving at the start of this year.
