Wilson to head up Church of Scotland media

A FORMER crime correspondent at the Evening Times newspaper is to head up the Church of Scotland’s media operations.

Stuart Wilson, who left the Evening Times almost a decade ago to become head of media at Strathclyde Police, joins the Church in the New Year.

For the last three years, he has been head of corporate communications and public affairs at Inverclyde Council, a post that is being made redundant following a management re-structuring.

Said the soon-to-be head of media and communications at the Church of Scotland: “I am looking forward to the challenges ahead, one of which is to explore New Media to take the message of the Church to both existing and new audiences.”
