So, the SNP is proposing that local authorities place their public notices on the internet, instead of in newspapers – thus potentially saving councils/depriving newspapers of millions of pounds a year.

Bill Heaney was media adviser to former First Minister, Henry McLeish. He is also a former editor of the Lennox Herald newspaper.
