Crisis communications expert part of double appointment at PR agency

A FORMER specialist in crisis communication in the Prime Minister’s Office, the Home Office/Ministry of Justice and the Cabinet Office has been appointed as an account director in the Edinburgh office of a leading strategic communications agency.

Simon Watts joins Fleishman-Hillard Edinburgh. Say his new employers, his 20 years-plus experience in public relations and government also includes “reputation management and thought leadership”.

He is joined by another new recruit, Jennifer Symington, a former Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ Young Communicator of the Year.

Adds Fleishman-Hillard Edinburgh, she joins “as senior account executive bringing over five years’ industry experience having worked with a broad range of corporate and charitable organisations, including The Prince’s Trust in Scotland”.

Sarah Chisnall, managing director of FH Edinburgh, said:

“Both Jennifer and Simon further strengthen our offer to clients and also complement the existing skills and broad experience within the Fleishman-Hillard team. Both join at a very dynamic and interesting time as we drive our business forward and continue to meet and excel our clients’ expectations.”
