ONE of Scotland’s best-known sports photographers is preparing for another season of snapping the best action from football’s Scottish Premier League. But this time around he’s doing it as a freelance, after having been redundant from his staff position at a picture agency.
But Steve Welsh was 25 years a freelancer before he joined SNS a couple of years ago, so it’s a return to the freelance fold, which has included spells at The Sun in both Wapping and Manchester.
