NUJ Scotland Announces Latest Training Programme

Training courses in newspaper sub-editing and scriptwriting are among a batch being provided by the Scottish division of the National Union of Journalists.

The training – details of which can be found on www.nujscotland.org.uk – begin on the 18th of next month, with an one-day session on public relations.

The NUJ's programme reads as follows:

NEWSPAPER TEXT HANDLING (subbing) 

From October 26 from 6-9 pm.

One night a week for ten Tuesdays, at Glasgow Metropolitan college. Cost £l20

QUARKXPRESS

From October 27 from 6-9 pm.

One night a week for ten Wednesdays, at Glasgow Metropolitan college. Cost £l20

INDESIGN

From October 28 from 6.30-9 pm.

One night a week for ten Thursdays, at Glasgow Metropolitan college. Cost £l32

PUBLIC RELATIONS

Monday October 18

One-day course in NUJ office, Glasgow. Cost £90 to include sandwich lunch

SCRIPTWRITING

Saturday October 23

One-day course in NUJ office, Glasgow. Cost £100 to include sandwich lunch

FEATURE WRITING

Thursday November 4
