Novel Name, but Unlikely to go Unfiltered

A media release is understood to have been sent to all the main Scottish newspapers about a new novel whose main character is a journalist; but chances are, not many of them will have received it.

Social media consultant and former Scottish Daily Mirror journalist, Craig McGill, has been advising a client on how they might promote the novel, which is by Scot, Michael Howell.

The story is about a BBC journalist and a computer coder trying to 'save the day' as computer networks, worldwide, are poised to collapse on Christmas Day.

But, first up, he had a simple piece of advice to immediately give his new client concerning the penning and distribution of a media release.

He told allmediascotland.com: “It's a great name for a great, technothriller book, and an awful one to get past newspaper email filters: 'The Christmas Virus'.”
