Voluntary redundancy invite issued to non-editorial staff at Daily Record/Sunday Mail

NON-editorial staff at the Daily Record and Sunday Mail newspapers are being invited to apply for voluntary redundancy, caused – say publishers, Trinity Mirror – “by continued challenging trading conditions Trinity Mirror”.

The invitation extends to the likes of sales and IT staff at Trinity Mirror’s Canary Wharf HQ in London and its Central Quay one in Glasgow.

In a statement, Trinity Mirror adds: “The [voluntary redundancy] scheme also covers non-editorial staff employed by MGN who work outside of London. The scheme will run until the end of February and will consider requests from staff at all levels.”

It is not yet known exactly how many voluntary redundancies are being sought.
