Scotsman Launches Literary Dinners Series

Novelists Denise Mina and Ian Rankin have been lined up to appear at a literary dinner being hosted by The Scotsman, the first in a series.

The new venture kicks off next week and seeks to bring together, says the newspapers, “renowned authors with excellent food and conversation”.

Each literary dinner will be chaired by the Scotland on Sunday literary editor, Stuart Kelly, and the second – planned for December – is to feature Alexander McCall Smith.

In a statement issued by The Scotsman Publications, managing director, Andrew Richardson, is quoted, as saying: “The literary dinners are the latest addition to the Scotsman Events & Exhibitions brand, which includes the successful conferences and exhibitions series. These events bring together excellent literary talent with great food and conversation resulting in a fantastic experience for every guest.”

Tickets cost £70 or £85. For more information, visit www.shop.scotsman.com/literary or call 0131 620 8359.
