Hearts reported to be lifting media ban

A BAN on speaking to the media, that has been operating since October by Hearts football club, is reportedly being lifted today.

Reports The Scotsman: “The Tynecastle club will talk to broadcasting rights-holders Sky and BBC at today’s Edinburgh derby at Easter Road, and then plan to resume holding press conferences for newspapers, radio and television later this week in time to publicise their Scottish Cup tie at home to Auchinleck Talbot.”

The ban began following media reporting of comments made by club manager, Paulo Sergio, which resulted in him being summoned to a disciplinary hearing at the Scottish Football Association. The club took particular exception to the media contacting the SFA for a reaction to the comments prized from Sergio.
