Highlands and Islands Media Awards shortlist announces lifetime achievement prize for Macdonald

A BBC Scotland journalist is to be presented with a lifetime achievement award at the Highlands and Islands Media Awards, taking place next month.

Iain Macdonald will receive the Barron Trophy for services to journalism in the region.

The awards has just announced its shortlist, below.

The awards are taking place at the Highlands and Islands Press Ball, in Nairn, on the third of next month.
