Pastures new for List editor, Ensall

THE editor of The List events magazine for Glasgow and Edinburgh is moving on, to join the similar-type London title, Time Out.

Jonny Ensall – who is in China on holiday at present – has been The List editor for approaching three years, during which time the magazine went from fortnightly to four-weekly, while also developing its online presence.

He has been appointed Time Out music and clubs editor.

The List is embarking on the recruitment of a successor.

Says publisher, Robin Hodge, in a memo to staff: “Jonny has overseen significant change and development in his nearly three years with The List. He has managed the move to a monthly publication cycle, the addition of new recurring titles such as the Guide to Scotland’s Festivals and enhanced our reputation through covering important developments in the cultural scene across many genres.”

He leaves on the 31st of next month.

Adds Hodge: “We plan to build on the reputation he has helped to enhance and we look forward to announcing a new appointment.”
