New magazine launched by public affairs company

A MAGAZINE has been launched by a public affairs company seeking to identify some of the bigger business and politics issues in Scotland.

Invicta Vista – published by Edinburgh-based public affairs consultancy, Invicta – will be published three times a year and is available online, as an iPad app and as a print product.

Among those featured in the debut issue are ice cream magnate, Maitland Mackie, plus former Labour ministers, Brian Wilson and Allan Wilson, all discussing renewable energy. The importance of local democracy is addressed by City of Edinburgh councillor, Tom Buchanan.

Invicta founder and director, Mark Cummings, is quoted in a statement from the company, as saying: “We are delighted to launch our Vista magazine at such a pivotal time in the political calendar. The forthcoming local elections will deeply affect those in business, whichever way the vote goes.

“Invicta prides itself on staying ahead of the curve and giving its clients the benefit of a deep understanding of the political landscape. We act as a honest and principled broker, liaising between the worlds of business and politics. Vista will give people access to quality information on the local election and wider topics and will stand as a benchmark publication in both content and delivery.”

Vista is edited by David Lee, former senior assistant editor of The Scotsman who now runs his own media and events business.
