The Press, post-Leveson, to be debated in Edinburgh

WHAT the media landscape might look like following the Leveson Inquiry into Press standards has published its recommendations is to be the subject of a Q&A involving two leading journalists.

Peter MacMahon, deputy editor of The Scotsman, is to interview James Cusick, who has led the inquiry coverage on The Independent newspaper.

The event is taking place in Edinburgh a fortnight tomorrow, and is being organised by the Scottish branch of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The inquiry was set up following the closure last year of the News of the World, amid allegations of phone-hacking.
