Sunday Mail officially launches charity campaign

A CHARITY campaign by the Sunday Mail has been officially launched.

The newspaper is seeking to raise one million pounds for Scots charities, to coincide with the newspaper’s centenary in two years’ time.

The Centenary Fund was ‘soft launched’ earlier this month.

The fund will be shared among 17 Scots charities covering a variety of causes including children, the elderly and war veterans.

Readers are being asked to help boost the fund total by taking part in organised events or to devise their own charity fundraisers.

Says the paper of its upcoming 100th birthday: “To mark our 100 years, we will celebrate – and support – some of Scotland’s most deserving charities through our Centenary Fund, helping them continue their vital work in Scotland’s communities.”
