Scott lands editor-in-chief role at Forth Weekly Press

A REGIONAL editor at Clyde and Forth Press has been promoted to editor-in-chief of the publisher’s division covering its East of Scotland titles.

Robbie Scott is moving from regional editor of the East Lothian Courier, the Border Telegraph and the Peeblesshire News to the Forth Weekly Press post overseeing all of the East of Scotland titles in the Clyde and Forth portfolio, such as the Alloa Advertiser.

Says Martin Little, editor-in-chief of the weekly newspapers under the Clyde and Forth Press banner: “He will be directly responsible for the management of content, production, and presentation both in print and online, of all Forth Weekly Press’ paid-for titles, as well as any associated magazines or free titles.

“Robbie brings a wealth of experience to the editorial team having worked in every office in Forth Weekly Press in his time with the company. I am confident he will continue to develop these newspapers and ensure they recognise their full potential.”

In a separate development, Ally McGilvray has been made editor of the Border Telegraph and the Peeblesshire News.
