Scots heritage magazine to be relaunched

A SCOTS history and heritage magazine is to be relaunched under the editorship of Scottish Field editor Richard Bath.

A quarterly title, Scots Heritage magazine is sold almost exclusively abroad to the Scots disapora on a subscription-only basis.

Bath – who also writes a restaurant review and weekly sports features for Scotland on Sunday newspaper – has signed up well-known columnist, Allan Massie, and photo-journalist, Malcolm MacGregor, who is also the head of the clans umbrella group, the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs. Scots Heritage magazine is the official magazine of the Council.

Bath succeeds Archie Mackenzie, who has retired. The next issue – which is published by Scottish Field publisher, Wyvex Media – is out in January. It sells mostly in Australasia and North America but has subscribers in over 30 different countries.

Scottish Field creative editor, Heddy Forrest, has designed a new look.

Bath told allmediascotland.com: “It is a complete re-design and with the Year of Homecoming in 2014, the timing is ideal.”
