The Beano named among winners for its product licensing

THE Beano comic has been named among the winners at an awards ceremony celebrating the best of brands, etc that have been licensed for use.

The DC Thomson-published title was named the winner in The Classic Licensed Property category at The Licensing Awards.

In a DC Thomson media release, Tim Collins, head of brand at DC Thomson, is quoted, as saying: “This year, we celebrated its 75th anniversary and I think that this win reflects the continued popularity of The Beano as a 21st century multi-media property.”
