The media in figures: Scotland’s local newspapers, sales figures

EVERY one of Scotland’s paid-for local newspapers saw sales of their print editions decline, year-on-year – according to official figures.

The figures were announced on Wednesday, by the auditing body, ABC, in its six-monthly reporting of local and regional newspapers.

allmediascotland.com reported (here, on Wednesday) the audited performance of Scotland’s daily, evening and Sunday ‘regional newspapers’, such as the Sunday Herald (big increase in sales of its print edition) and the Edinburgh Evening News.
