Media Movers: Kenny Farquharson, Brian Stormont, etc

THE deputy editor at The Scotsman Publications Ltd (The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday and the Edinburgh Evening News) is to join the Scottish edition of The Times.

Kenny Farquharson – who is most closely associated with Scotland on Sunday – tweeted yesterday of his move.

He wrote (here): “Some news: I’m delighted to say I’m moving to The Times, as columnist and senior writer on the Scottish edition. Looking forward to it!”

He joins several recent appointments at the paper, now being edited by former Scotland on Sunday and recent former sports editor at the Daily Mail, Les Snowdon.

A revamped sports section now includes Keith Anderson (production) and Michael Grant (Scottish football correspondent, formerly chief football writer – as noted here on allmediascotland), along with regular freelance content from Paul Forsyth and Graham Spiers (a Saturday column).
