Ross appointed ASPA chair

THE Scottish member organisation for PR’s near relation, public affairs, has elected a new chair.

Alastair Ross, director of Edinburgh-based McGrigors Public Policy, was elected to chair the Association for Scottish Public Affairs, the professional organisation for Scottish public affairs practitioners.

A history and politics graduate from the University of Aberdeen, Ross worked in newspapers and public relations before joining Bank of Scotland and then spent five years with HBoS as government relations executive.

He is a past secretary of the cross party group on the Scottish Economy at the Scottish Parliament.
