Scottish dentists given more to chew on with revamped mag and new website

A RECENTLY-launched magazine aimed at dentists working in Scotland has undergone a revamp, including the creation of an accompanying website.

Only two months after the first issue of Scottish Dental magazine was distributed, publishers, Connect, has set up www.scottishdentalmag.co.uk

Issue two of the magazine, which has just been mailed to more than 3000 dentists across the country, has increased from 64 to 88 pages to build on the feedback generated by the launch issue.

Says editor, Bruce Oxley: “Our aim is simple; to build a magazine and website representing the views, concerns and interests of the dental community in Scotland. Issue one did that and we’re excited that issue two and the website take the content to the next level.”

The latest magazine features an exclusive interview with Kieran Fallon, who talks about his experiences treating patients at Glasgow’s notorious Barlinnie prison, and investigates the profession’s view on continuous registration, which, dentists claim, is being forced on them by the Scottish Government.
