THE General Election count on Thursday night is to be the last job for an Edinburgh press and picture agency reporter who is headed for the capital’s evening newspaper.
Rory Reynolds has been with Deadline Press and Picture agency for almost a year and begins as a news reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News next week. His General Election reporting will appear in Friday’s editions of The Scottish Sun and Scottish Daily Mirror.
Says Rory: “After four years of studying politics I’ve been itching to get my hands on a General Election and I’ve finally been given the chance to do that in covering the results on Thursday.
“That will be my last job for Deadline, where I think I’ve gained the perfect grounding in news gathering and breaking stories.”
Two years ago, he was a features sub-editor at The Scottish Sun.
He added: “As well as being a news reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News, I’m also keen to try my hand at features and hopefully the time I spent at The Scottish Sun will stand me in good stead.”
