O’Donnell appointed editor of Edinburgh Evening News

THE assistant editor (group head of news) at The Scotsman and Scotland on Sunday newspapers has been appointed editor of sister title, the Edinburgh Evening News.

Frank O’Donnell succeeds Tom Little who is leaving to become head of policy and public affairs at the City of Edinburgh Council. It is understood he will be leaving in a week’s time.

O’Donnell has been with The Scotsman Publications Ltd for 12 years.

Announcing his appointment in a memo to staff, TSPL managing director, Andrew Richardson, said: “I am confident that Frank has the personal qualities and experience to be successful as editor, and would like you to join me in congratulating him on his new appointment.”
