Search continues for missing newspaper reporter, as friends distribute posters

FEARS for the welfare of a missing reporter have prompted friends to distribute posters, in the hope of recruiting the general public to help find him.

Concern for Clive Dennier was first raised when the senior reporter failed to turn up for work at the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald newspaper on Monday.

It is being speculated the 50 year-old might have gone hill-walking over the weekend, but police have so far been unable to track down his car – a silver Volkswagen Polo, registration number SX54 CXD – at places where he might have gone.

Today, a poster is being distributed in and around Inverness, including in cafes and hotels.

A friend, who asked not to be named, said: “Some of Clive’s friends are distributing the poster on social media asking people to print it out and put it up, and also will be contacting cafes, shops, petrol stations, pubs, hotels, and hostels in and around Inverness and the Highlands, especially where people go hill-walking, asking to print it out and display it.

“Clive is a fantastic journalist and person, always willing to help others, and there are many people who want him to come home safely.

“We’re extremely worried about Clive and anything people can do would be greatly appreciated.”
