Daily Record Hosting Online Debate Among Political Hopefuls

The candidates in the forthcoming Glasgow North-east by-election are being given the chance to debate online, plus answer questions from the general public - on the website of the Daily Record newspaper.

On Friday, allmediascotland reported the candidates being invited to become guest bloggers on the political blog, The Steamie, run by The Scotsman’s website.

Readers of the Record and its sister title, the freesheet, the Glaswegian, have been emailing in questions for the candidates during the last few days, and the will face a Question Time-style grilling this morning, moderated by political editor, Magnus Gardham.

The podcast will be available on Monday lunchtime at DailyRecord.co.uk and via the Record's page on iTunes.
