Lyons Headed for Wall Street Journal

A business correspondent at Scotland on Sunday - who doubles up as the paper's award-winning wine correspondent - is to join the Europe division of The Wall Street Journal.

Will Lyons leaves for The Wall Street Journal Europe in January. He will be a reporter, based in London, with a multi-media aspect to his job.

Last year, he was named Regional Wine Writer of the Year at the prestigious Louis Roederer International Wine Writers' Awards. He was a runner-up this year and in 2006 was also a runner-up in the Glenfiddich Wine Writer of the Year. He has been at Scotland on Sunday and sister title, The Scotsman, for seven years where he has worked a number of roles including news reporter, consumer affairs correspondent and arts correspondent.

He writes a wine column for The Reader's Digest, is wine editor for The Spectator Business and will be writing a new weekly wine column for the weekend edition of The Wall Street Journal Europe.
