Scots candidate misses out in CIPR presidency bid

A SCOTS candidate for the presidency of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations has missed out in a ballot.

Jenifer Stirton, who is director of communications at NHS Lothian, lost out to Paul Mylrea, director of communications for the Department for International Development.

Mylrea – who will serve as president-elect next year before becoming president the year after – polled 304 votes against Stirton’s 200.
