STV has unveiled a recent former senior member of staff at The Herald as its digital news editor.
Until his appointment earlier this month by STV, Matt Roper was group deputy news editor at the Herald & Times' trio of newspapers: The Herald, Sunday Herald and Evening Times. He was also features editor at The Herald.
In his new role, he is responsible for managing the editorial focus of stv.tv/news.
Says STV: "Matt will work to deliver unique news material and content, shared between STV’s digital and broadcast platform, alongside unique web-only material."
