BBC Scotland News and Current Affairs Unveils Streamlined Senior Management Team

A streamlining of the senior management team a BBC Scotland news and current affairs has been announced.

Under head, John Boothman, the team comprises:

Karen Johnston - Managing Editor

Peter Macrae - Editor Newgathering and Planning

Daniel Maxwell - Editor Newsnight and Politics

Huw Owen - Editor Radio

Tom Connor - Editor Online and Sport

Diarmid O'Hara - Editor Reporting Scotland and Television Bulletins

Marcus Ryder - Editor Investigations and Special Programmes.

The streamlining has claimed one post - planning - which has been integrated Daniel Maxwell's new responsibilities. Another two - daytime radio and Good Morning Scotland - have been merged to form Huw Owen's title. 

The streamlining means two people are currently in talks with the BBC as to their future.
