Scots sportswriter on UK tour to promote Barca book

A SCOTTISH sportswriter based in Spain is undertaking an UK-wide tour, promoting his new book about Barcelona FC – universally reckoned to be the greatest football team in the world.

Graham Hunter, who lives in Barcelona, contributes regularly to the Scottish Mail on Sunday, the Sunday Herald, ESPN, Sky Sports and BBC Radio, as well as other print and broadcasting outlets.

His book – gleaned from unrivalled access to Barcelona FC – is titled ‘Barca: The Making of the Greatest Team in the World’, and is published by BackPage Press in print and as an Ebook.

Hunter had his book featured in double-page spreads in both the Scottish Daily Mail and Sunday Herald at the weekend. It is currently No.2 in the Amazon sport bestsellers chart.

BackPage Press were founded three years ago by three journalists, Neil White, Martin Greig and James Porteous. Their first title, In Search of Alan Gilzean – by The Herald’s deputy sports editor, James Morgan – was shortlisted for Football Book of the Year at the British Sports Book Awards last year.
