eExpansion for Dundee press agency

A DUNDEE press agency has launched a new company to build its internet publishing business.

E-News Now Ltd – being run by the Scottish News Agency – will publish 17 daily business-to-business email newsletters, which have been rolled out across the UK over the last seven years.

A team of six journalists and web editors are employed on titles aimed at the UK’s social housing sector and the construction industry. They also produce a daily news service for the Scottish legal profession.

Jonathan Brown has been appointed editor of Housing News and its eight daily regional editions, while colleague Kieran Findlay has been appointed editor of Construction Now, which is also published in eight regional editions. Baktosch Gillan is editor of Scottish Legal News.

Says publisher, Graham Ogilvy: “Our Construction Now and Housing News titles are now well established with 35,000 daily subscribers and around 100,000 readers across Britain. Scottish Legal News has also succeeded in attracting nearly a third of Scotland’s lawyers since its launch in June.”

He added, “Scottish News Agency will continue to provide a news service to the national press, under chief reporter, Kurt Bayer, but the internet business has developed to the stage where it now makes sense to run it as a separate entity.”
