The Scottish regional newspaper division of Trinity Mirror - publishers of the Daily Record and Sunday Mail - has launched its first single title-based website.

Previously, the Hamilton Advertiser was one of a number of Scottish and Universal newspapers served by the ‘ic Lanarkshire’ website portal.

But now, it has www.hamiltonadvertiser.co.uk.

And the promise from S&UN is that this year will see other titles follow suit, under the supervision of a 17-strong digital team, headed by Craig Brown and John Hutcheson.

Says S&UN: “A full promotional campaign will roll-out over the next few months, resulting in a total investment of over £1 million during 2008.”
