Adds The Arbroath Herald: "Today, February 5 2010, The Arbroath Herald celebrates its 125th anniversary. And since its founding, it has never missed a day of publication - even through the General Strike of 1926 when an army of volunteers ensured it went out.
"The reporting team is a good blend of youth and experience with the chief reporter, Brian Forsyth, having been with the paper for 41 years. Editor, Brian Stormont, started his career at the Herald and spent five years as chief reporter, deputy editor and editor with the Glenrothes Gazette in Fife. Reporter, Gordon Cook, has been contributing to the paper for about 25 years and has been on staff for 15. Jennifer Newton has been with the paper for almost a year."
