ONE of most experienced police press officers in Scotland is moving on, to a post at the Scottish Executive.
At the end of the month, Ruth MacLeod becomes a senior press officer on the health desk at the Exec, after ten years with Lothian and Borders Police.
Widely-respected by Scottish journalists as one of the most helpful police press officers around, she leaves as new, more formal media operating procedures are being introduced at the Force.
