Seminar to advise on photographs for the media

FREE advice on how organisations might get their message and particularly their photographs into the Scottish media is being offered at a seminar being held next week.

Maverick Photo Agency has teamed up with Debora Keeping – former picture editor of The Herald and Independent newspapers – and Greig Cameron – chief reporter on Business 7 newspaper – to host the seminar.

The event is taking place next Monday, from 6pm, in Edinburgh.

Maverick comprises Michael Hughes, Richard Scott and Callum Bennetts.

Says Maverick: “With ever expanding cuttings of front pages from major newspaper titles across the UK – such as the Guardian, The Times, The Herald and The Scotsman – we are quickly building up a reputation in producing high-quality images for both the media and corporate worlds.”

Keeping spent six years as deputy picture editor at The Independent and Independent on Sunday before moving to The Herald, seven years ago. She recently successfully applied for voluntary redundancy from the paper.

Cameron has worked at Business 7 since its launch in October two years ago. He was previously part of the launch team for the Daily Record’s PM edition, with responsibility for the Edinburgh content.
