Newspaper correction: it’s a family affair

THIS has to be one of the best newspaper corrections for some time.

It appeared in today’s P&J and read as follows:

“We have been asked to point out that Professor Ashley Mowatt is 66, not 65, as reported in Saturday’s Press and Journal.

“His daughter Jill Mowatt is a journalist in Aberdeen, not Leeds; her sister Catriona works at Strathclyde University, not Stirling University; and her brother, Craig, is a doctor in Dundee, not Glasgow.”
